Dharmendra thanks Centre for approving additional Cyclone Fani assistance to Odisha

Nation First News: The High Level Committee, chaired by the Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah on Tuesday approved additional assistance of Rs 3,338.22 crore for Cyclone FANI-affected Odisha.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and High Level Committee for approving additional assistance to fastrack restoration of livelihoods of people severely affected by Cyclone Fani.

“The additional assistance of Rs. 3338.22 Crore from National Disaster Response Fund will further energize efforts towards relief and rehabilitation of people in Odisha affected by the cyclone. The assistance is over and above the funds released by the centre earlier,” Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted today.

Centre had earlier provided Rs 1,341 Crore assistance in May 2019.
