ISRO launches DRDO’s EMISAT and 28 Foreign Satellite

NF Bureau:   After a perfect lift-off at the end of the 27-hour countdown, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday launched the EMISAT Satellite along with 28 other foreign satellites from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 9:27 am today.

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C45 rocket carries 28 foreign satellites, including United States, Lithuania, Switzerland and Spain.

About 17 minutes into the flight, the rocket would eject the 436 kg DRDO’s EMISAT into a 749 km orbit.

All the foreign satellites would be injected into the low-earth orbit, at an altitude of 504 kms above the earth’s surface.
