Kohli’s 41st Ton goes in vain, as India lose 3rd ODI

NF Bureau: Virat Kohli’s 41st ODI Hundred, which he achieved wearing an Army Cap (camouflage cap), went in vain, as India lost the 3rd ODI against Australia by 32 runs. India now lead the five-match series 2-1.

Earlier, Australia posted 313/5 in 50 overs, thanks to Aaron Finch (93) and Usman Khawaja (104). They added 193 runs for the first wicket. Glenn Maxwell scored 47, while Stoinis remained unbeaten on 31. For India, Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets.

Apart from Virat Kohli, none other batsmen managed to convert their start into a good score. Kohli scored 123 off 95 balls, while Dhoni (26), Kedar Jadhav (26), Vijay Shankar (32) and Ravindra Jadeja (24) were the other top contributors. India bowled out for 281 in 48.2 overs and lost the match by 32 runs.

For Australia, Cummins, Richardson and Adam Zampa took 3 wickets each. Usman Khawaja was declared ‘Player of the Match’. The Indian Team donated their match fee for the families of Veer Jawans of Pulwama Terror attack.
