Odisha gets Rs 5,993 crore; highest ever allocation in Railway sector

Nation First News:  The Centre has allocated Rs 5,993 crore in Union Budget 2019-20 for different railway projects in the state.

With this Odisha has received its highest ever allocation of Rs 5,993 crore in the railway sector this year against Rs 5940 crores in interim budget. Last year the allotment was Rs 5,252 crore.

Key Projects:

— Rs 180 crore for passenger amenities

— Rs 400 crore for the Haridaspur-Paradeep new line

— Rs 350 crore for the Khurda Road-Bolangir new line

— Rs 250 crore for Angul-Sukinda Road new line

— Rs 249 crore for 174 km Sambalpur – Talcher doubling project

— Rs 205 crore for Budapank -Salegaon line

— Rs 150 crore for Talcher-Bimlagarh new line

— Rs 70 crore for Jeypore – Malkangiri (130km) line

— Rs 10 crore for 38 Km Jeypore – Nabarangpur line
