Nation First News: In a bid to boost the efficiency in administration and to make it more citizen-centric, the Odisha Government has declared fourth Saturday of every month as a general holiday for all State Government Employees.
That will be in addition to the 2nd Saturday Holiday they are getting now. However, offices will remain open for half day on all Saturdays.
The day-to-day working hours in the Government Offices shall be from 10 AM till to 5:30 PM with half an hour lunch break from 1:30 PM to 2 PM. The above revised timings are not applicable to Vacation Departments.
In addition, the first half of every Saturday will be devoted by the Heads of Departments for deliberating on implementation of ‘5Ts’ & for training & brainstorming of innovative ideas for development of state. The CMO will monitor implementation of 5Ts.
The order will be implemented with immediate effect.
