NF Bureau: Sneha Mohapatra, wife of veteran politician Dr. Damodar Rout, passed away at the age of 72 this morning. She had been suffering from multiple ailments and was being treated at a private hospital.
She was earlier treated at Apollo Hospital, but later shifted to Care Hospital. Sneha Mohapatra is survived by husband Dr. Damodar Rout, son Sambit Routray and daughter Pritinanda Routray.

Dr. Damodar Rout, who was expelled by BJD last year, had recently joined the BJP. His daughter Pritinanda Routray, a Corporator from BMC, has also resigned from the party. However, Dama Rout’s son Sambit Routray is still with BJD and remains a ticket aspirant from Paradip.
