Nation First News: Former Bureaucrat and leading Entrepreneur Ashwini Vaishnaw has formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bhubaneswar in the presence of part’s State Unit President Basant Panda, State Vice President Samir Mohanty and other leaders. Top BJP leaders Baijayant Panda and KV Singh Deo were conspicuous by their absence at the joining programme.
“I thank BJP for giving me an opportunity to serve Odisha. I will do my best to contribute to the progress and development of the State,” said Ashwini Vaishnaw after joining the party.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, who served as a Collector in Balasore and Cuttack and later became the Private Secretary of Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the PMO, has been nominated by the BJP as the Rajya Sabha candidate from Odisha with the support of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha MP and BJP leader Aparajita Sarangi has congratulated Ashwini Vaishnaw and welcomed him to the party fold.
