Lok Sabha Elections: 61.12% voter turnout recorded till 5PM in Phase II

NF Bureau:  India has recorded 61.12% voter turnout till 5 PM in the second phase of the Lok Sabha Polls on Thursday.

This is a tentative turnout and is likely to be updated by the Election Commission of India.

Polling was held in 95 constituencies across 11 States and one Union territory of Puducherry in the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections today.

Voting was held in all the Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu (38), 14 seats in Karnataka, 10 in Maharashtra, 8 in Uttar Pradesh, 5 each in Assam, Bihar and Odisha, 3 each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, 2 in Jammu and Kashmir and 1 seat each in Manipur and Puducherry.

State-wise polling percentage till 5 pm:

• Tamil Nadu: 61.57%
• Jammu and Kashmir: 43.37%
• Maharashtra: 55.37%
• Chhattisgarh: 68.70%
• Manipur: 74.69%
• Assam: 73.32%
• Bihar: 58.14%
• Odisha: 64 %
• Karnataka: 61.80%
• West Bengal: 75.27%
• Tamil Nadu: 61.52 %
• Puducherry: 72.40%
