Nation First News: Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh will be the next Defence Minister of India, as per the press communique received from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Amit Shah will be the new Home Minister of India. Niramala Sitharaman will be new Defence Minister, while Nitin Gadkari has retained the portfolio of Road Transport & Highways.

Dharmendra Pradhan retained the Petroleum & Natural Gas (P&NG) portffolio and also got the portfolio of Steel. Piyush Goyal retained Railways. He also got the portfolio of Commerce & Transport. Smriti Irani has been rewarded with Women & Child Development portfolio along with Textiles. Dr. Harsh Vardhan got back Health & Family Welfare portfolio he had lost to JP Nadda.
