Odisha Budget 2019-20 Highlights: Total allocation pegged at Rs 1.39 lakh Crore

Nation First News:  Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari presented the Annual Budget for the fiscal year 2018-19 with an allocation of Rs 1.39 lakh crore at the State Assembly today.

The State Government presented an allocation of Rs 20,714 crore of Agriculture Budget for 2018-19.

Budget Highlights:

Agriculture
• Rs 20,714 crore for agriculture
• Rs 5,600 crore for KALIA Yojana
• Rs 218 crore for Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana
• 800 crore for interest-free crop loan upto Rs 1 lakh
• Rs 210 crore for Canal Lining System Rehabilitation Programe
• Rs 1,861 crore for completion of irrigation projects under PMKSY
• Rs 540 crore allocated for completion of 20,000 deep bore wells
• Rs 100 crore earmarked for Gangadhar Meher Lift Canal system

Education
• Rs 19,492 crore for Education & skill development sectors
• Rs 2,550 cr for Samagra Sikhya Abhiyan
• Rs 844 core for Mid-day Meal Scheme
• Rs 227 crore for SC/ST Hostels
• Rs 1,425 crore for Girl’s Incentive Programme (pre-matric scholarship) PRERANA
• Rs 190 crore for infrastructure development of Technological Universities, Engineering Colleges, Engineering Schools, Polytechnics

Health
• Rs 1,203 crore allocated for Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY)
• Rs 1,365 cr for National Health Mission
• Rs 578 crore for Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Seva Mission
• Rs 400 crore for establishment of new Medical Colleges

General Budget
• Total Budget Estimate for 2019-20: Rs 1,39,000 crore
• Total planned expenditure outlay: Rs 74,600 crore
• Outlay for disaster response funds: Rs 4,600 crore
• Capital Outlay: Rs 24,473 crore
• Revenue Receipts (target): Rs 1,15,266 crore
• Borrowing and other receipts: Rs 23,734 crore
• Total administrative expenses: Rs 57,310 crore
• Rs 2,120 crore for Madhubabu Pension Yojana
• Rs 27,760 crore for development of SCs, STs, Other Backward Castes & Minorities
• Rs 3,457 crore for women and child development
• Rs 2500 crore for rural component of Swachh Bharat Mission
• Rs 300 crore for urban component of Swachh Bharat Mission
