Odisha CM announces ‘Mo Sarkar’ Programme to make Govt more accountable


Nation First News:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the launching of “Mo Sarkar” programme that aims at bring accountability, transparency and responsiveness to governance.

Addressing on 73rd Independence Day at Exhibition Ground of Bhubaneswar, Patnaik said the program will be implemented at all District Headquarters Hospitals and Police Stations in first phase from Gandhi Jayanti this year. Rest of the departments will execute the programme by March 5, 2020, in the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.

Based on 5Ts model under the “Mo Sarkar” programme,  the Chief Minister would personally make telephonic calls to people to know the response they have received at police stations and the quality of services they received at hospitals.

Further, Patnaik said that if any household still do not have electricity connection, they can submit an application at Panchayat office. Electricity will be provided to villagers within 48 hours of submission of application.
