Odisha to implement Centre’s ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ initiative from Sep 1


Nation First News:  Odisha Government will implement Centre’s ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ initiative to help ration card beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) as well as the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain today informed that the initiative will be implemented under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on pilot basis from September 1. The beneficiaries who have not linked their Aadhar with ration cards should do the same by August 31.

The Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan earlier asserted that under the scheme, beneficiaries, anywhere in the country, will be able to pick up their grain from any public distribution system of their choice after 30th June, 2020.
