Nation First News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a rousing welcome by the people on his arrival in Bhutan on Saturday.
Modi was welcomed by Bhutan Prime Minister Lotay Tshering at the airport and received Guard of Honour.
Later, the Prime Minister headed for the capital Thimphu.
As a gesture of extraordinary warmth and goodwill, waving the Indian tricolour and the Bhutanese flags, people lined up along the route from Paro to the capital city Thimphu to welcome the Prime Minister.
During his two-day state visit. Modi will hold talks on a series of issues, including economic and development cooperation, hydropower cooperation and people-to-people-ties.
