NF Bureau: The Dhenkanal Politics has taken an interesting turn after political stalwart Nabin Nanda met PCC President Niranjan Patnaik earlier this afternoon, as per the sources.
Seems Congress is fishing in the troubled waters to take Nabin Nanda into the party hold, as the latter is yet to receive any favourable response from the BJP. Although everyone thought that Nabin Nanda will follow Baijayant Panda into BJP, his induction is getting delayed due to some mysterious reasons.
While the time is running out for Nabin Nanda and he finds in a dilemma on his future course of action, the Congress has resorted to political manoevure to woo him.
Nabin Nanda has been very active in the region by mobilising supporters. After being denied ticket by BJD in 2014, Nabin Nanda did not campaign for the BJD candidate, although he wholeheartedly supported BJD’s MP Candidate Tathagata Satpathy. As his supporters voted for BJP’s MLA Candidate Krushna Patra in angst, his pocket votes of 30,000 were transferred to the saffron party, which secured over 65,000 and narrowly lost the polls to BJD by a margin of 3,294 votes.
