Nation First News: The Hong Kong Government has approved three grants totalling 7.032 million Hong Kong dollars (about $902,278) for relief and rehabilitation work in cyclone Fani-hit Odisha. It amounts to more than Rs 6 crore in Indian currency.
The grants will be used to provide hygiene kits, water kits, kitchen kits, education, household and shelter kits. That could benefit around 45,100 victims, a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government spokesperson said.
To assure that the grants are used for the purpose for which they were given, the relief agencies will be asked to submit evaluation reports and audited accounts on the use of the grants.
