NF Bureau: Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case and the BJP candidate in Bhopal Lok Sabha polls on Friday took back her statement and apologised saying she is doing so as she feels “the enemies of the country were being benefited from it”.
“Whatever I had said, that was my personal suffering, which I had shared. If my enemies are benefited due to my comments then I take them back and apologise too,” Sadhvi Pragya said.
Hemant Karkare died from the bullets of terrorists from the enemy country, he is certainly a martyr, Pragya Thakur stated.
Earlier, Pragya Singh Thakur landed in trouble after she said that 26/11 martyr and former Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief late Hemant Karkare lost his life because she had cursed him.
She said, Hemant Karkare had falsely implicated her in the Malegaon blast and treated her very badly as her bike was used for blast that killed six and injured 101 on September 29, 2008.
BJP has fielded Sadhvi from Bhopal against Congress’ heavyweight and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh.
A complaint has been filed against Sadhvi for her controversial remarks on 26/11 terror attack martyr. Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer said the matter is under inquiry.
