NFN Bureau: Sushree Priyadarshini, a PhD Scholar from Kendrapara district, who is based in Delhi, had recorded some videos of dilapidated road conditions in her village in Mahakalapada during a visit to Odisha. She requested everyone to take proper action in the larger interest of the village, but in vain.
As her voice did not get a platform anywhere, Nation First News posted the video (shot by her) on Twitter on October 30, 2019 and tagged all relevant people, drawing their attention to the problem and seeking urgent attention.

Sushree again tweeted on December 8, 2019, seeking a status update and requested the MP to look into the matter in an urgent basis as per his promise.
Sir We are waiting for your action to be initiated about the road issue and it's going to be one month, so this is a reminder request from my side to look into the matter in an urgent basis as U had promised to do so @AnubhavMohanty_

Sushree then decided to meet Anubhav in Delhi and the meeting was arranged thanks to the support of Kalinga TV Bureau Chief in Delhi, Ashutosh Raut. Anubhav met Sushree, took the application from her and forwarded it to Kendrapara District Collector for further action. He was already in touch with the DM on this issue, as per his tweet. He later tweeted the details today saying work will begin in 4-5 days and completed by the end of January 2020.

It gives great pleasure and satisfaction when Lawmakers/Authorities respond to people’s grievances on Social Media (especially Twitter), listen to them and initiate action to find a solution.
If all Lawmakers and Officials start respond to genuine concerns on Twitter and act as per the process, Twitter Governance will become a reality.
